Franklin Templeton is re-engineering their business processes and has asked JPMorgan to support a service model which will allow Franklin Templeton to settle their spot, forward and NDF FX transactions through CLS wherever possible. Current traffic consists of 17 currencies, 110,000 transactions per year channelled through multiple (13+) custodians. Franklin Templeton will utilize their existing MQ link with JPMorgan to send all of their FX traffic to Message Express. Message Express will use static tables and business rules to determine if a particular instruction is CLS eligible, will enrich CLS eligible instructions and route all instructions to the custodians. Message Express will accept CLS status messages from custodians. A CLS dashboard will be built in MX to display instructions with their associated CLS statuses. Project Description Message Express (MX) is a client facing internet messaging application offered by JPMorgan Worldwide Securities Services. This product serves as a message management hub for investment managers. MX reformats messages, routes them, tracks their status and provides the capability for users to monitor their incoming and outgoing message traffic.
