I am a new player here, yes. Now you could think what the hell does the noob try to say?!. I am a noob here, but not everywhere. My english is not the best, I know that. And anyhow I just hope to help someone with this pdf.

I dont want to be that guy with the most attention, I just want to help to improve the gameplay of our server. Read the whole pdf, dont think I want attention and keep in mind that we ALL know what attention Arma is getting through DayZ (and with that, miscellaneous players are coming).

I am not your new boss or admin! Just to say it again: I just wont to improve the gameplay on CityLife and take the gameplay even further. I saw very many YouTube videos with GREAT Roleplaying on CityLife and I think its just the fault of a slightly new playerbase (since DayZ) that the Roleplaying is suffering. And it is.

The most know the word roleplay from games as World of Warcraft, The Lord of the Rings Online and all. But true roleplaying it is nothing like it - it is much more. I hope I can explain and illustrate the good and bad examples of roleplaying on CityLife and how you could improve it. True Roleplaying can improve your gaming experience!

Even if you are a new player you can play true rolplay how a one year old player. It does not make a difference if you are a Cop, a Medic o r a C i v - Tr u e Roleplay can be done b y a n y o n e . Tr u e Roleplay is maybe not the best for your money but the best experience.

True roleplaying is something great and has nothing to do with having no real life. It is just an experiencee in gaming

SOME EXAMPLES

It is really difcult for me to explain what true roleplay is in words (because of my restricted english knowledge. But Ill try it with examples. Lets take a look at our two Factions We have two factions, the Police and the EMT. You can do very much wrong as a medic. You dont know what and you are a medic? So, what are you doing? Maybe driving to the injured and reviving him. But that is a failure for the true roleplaying. The case is that you could make so much more: Driving to him (okay you already did that) and than ask him whats hurting, what happened. Than do as if you would patch him. Shout after some civs or a police ofcer and give him the mission to bring the big doctors kit from the ambulance. I am robbed! Lets get away! - NOT! Imagine you are robbed from two guys with pistols. Your car is directly on your side and you could just move your mousewheel and get into your car without needing of moving - and then you could get away with it. BUT that is no true roleplaying at all. Would you run if two guys with pistols are infront of you? You would not - you would die if so. So what to do? At rst: Do

whatever you would do in real. Stutter, be unsure about the situation. You have to get this emotions into your character. It sounds maybe crazy but thats a new level and improvement to your gameplay - try it and feel it! One last example: Write your story In the real life you are someone. Be someone in the roleplaying too! Be a idiot that does not say the smartest things, be a poor guy or just be some badass robber. But, and that is important, dont be all at once and every day something different. You could play the badass robber at the beginning and with the days you turn into a clever guy which cheats on his friends and goes to the police. You dont have to write anything down, but you should do it in your head.
THE MOST IMPORTANT THING

Roleplaying does start in your brain and goes directly into your charcter. Think about your acting and just be someone in your gameplay. Just trust me and try real roleplay. It will improve your gameplay experience and the more players do real roleplay the better it is for everyone. Even if it is not the best for your ingame money.

You are get a ticket by a police ofcer, your luck he did not see the drugs in your car you write that into the global chat. The cop turns his car and look in your car - giving you jail. That is NO ROLEPLAYING at all. Global Chat = Out of character. Could a voice say you what is in the global? No? So dont build it in your acting! Really, how should your character know that?
