AbstractIn order to achieve wireless energy transmission

of artificial heart implemented in the body, a
transcutaneous energy transmission system is designed
using non-contact coupling to transfer power based on
electromagnetic induction. Switch control circuitry is used
in the system to convert external DC into high frequency
AC(HFAC). The HFAC is coupled to the secondary circuit
at the transcutaneous transformer, then rectified and
supplied to the artificial heart pump and the internal
batteries. The output voltage information is fed back to the
control unit of the primary side using a wireless
communication link.
Keywords-artificial heart; transcutaneous energy transmission;
electromagnetic induction; switching control circuit; wireless
communication
