SS Badger (Lake Michigan Carferry) DOE Grant / LNG/CNG study work product.

Work product from $75,000 US Department of Energy grant to the Lake Michigan Carferry company (owners and operators of the coal-fired carferry SS Badger). The grant was allocated by the State of Wisconsin Energy office in 2012 with news reports suggesting added funds provided through the State of Michigan energy department. This "study" reviews the costs and feasibility of converting the 60 year old coal burning SS Badger to run on liquified natural gas (LNG) or compressed natural gas (CNG).
