REVIEW OF THE WEEK:

Amazing Podcast, 5 Stars by Shelby Eichstadt

This lady has CHANGED MY LIFE. I have been listening to this podcast for the past two years and I cannot emphasize how much Trish has helped me in my personal growth/mental health/eating disorder recovery journeys. I have done YEARS of therapy and was in inpatient treatment for an eating disorder and I can honestly say this podcast has helped me in probably more ways than those other things. Trish speaks to me in a way that I feel like no one else can relate. Like half of the time I am like, are we like the same person lol. If you haven't listened, you NEED to. This lady knows what she's talking about and can give you PRACTICAL ways to deal with life challenges. I cannot say enough good things about this podcast. Thank you Trish for all that you do. You are making an impact in this world.

QUICK BONUS COACHING MOMENT:

We're going to go back to the basics here, and we're going to have a conversation around how to get your neurons firing together so that your brain and thoughts get wired in the way we want --- with a powerful, victorious mindset.

It starts with a base layer: belief. I believe I can do hard things.

Next, up the pyramid ...I will not avoid doing hard things, because I understand that hard things are part of life.

Then, the next ascending layer...I am good at doing hard things.

Finally...

I like to do hard things.

HOW TO APPEAR MORE CONFIDENT THAN YOU ACTUALLY ARE

Do people that appear extremely confident really feel that way? Is it an act? Do they ever feel what I feel?

You don't have to be the best.

You don't have to know what you're doing.

You just have to be yourself.

You will appear most confident when you are most yourself and most relaxed.

How, so, how do you do that?

Smile.

Reassure yourself.

Get to know yourself.

Stand comfortably.

Have open posture and body language.

Do things and take action.

How do I do this? As a confidence coach, you might think I have mastered confidence, but I haven't. Confidence is a relationship - a spiritual practice almost - that I will be exploring and expanding my entire life.

I aspire to have a thick skin and tender heart.

I aspire to be the friendliest person in a room.

I aspire to smile more than anyone else I know.

I aspire to be consistently, openly and unapologetically myself.

I aspire to do the things that scare, intimidate or overwhelm me.
