SENSE OF SMELL
Ants move in a row. They leave a smell on the ground. Other ants follow the smell to find the way.

Some male insects can recognise their females by their smell

Mosquito can find you by the smell of your body,the smell of your feet & the heat of your body.

SENSE OF SMELL
Dogs mark their own area on the road by the urine or potty.They can make out if another dog has come into their area by the smell of its urine or
potty.

They also use their sense of smell

 Most of the birds have fixed eyes on either side of the head.Their eyes cannot move.So they turn their heads to see around.

EYES-FOR SIGHT
MOST BIRDS HAVE EYES ON EITHER SIDE OF THE HEAD. THEIR EYES CAN FOCUS ON TWO DIFFERENT THINGS AT A TIME. WHEN THEY LOOK STRAIGHT AHEAD,BOTH THEIR EYES FOCUS ON THE SAME THINGS. SOME BIRDS HAVE EYES IN FRONT OF THEIR HEADS LIKE IN HUMANS.

Kite,eagle,vulture can see four times as far as we can .

Have external ears bigger than ours

 Snakes do not have external ears. They only feel the vibrations on the ground

Langur,tiger,leapard warn others by making a special warning call.

SLOTH
Sleeps-18 hrs Wakes-6 hrs Eats the leaves of the same tree on which it lives. It lives for about 40 years.

OUR GOVERNMENT HAS MADE SOME FORESTS AS PROTECTED

AREAS WHERE NOBODY CAN HUNT ANIMALS OR DESTROY THE FORESTS.THEY ARE CALLED NATIONAL PARKS AND WILD LIFE

SANCTUARIES.

SOME FACTS TO REMEMBER

THERE ARE SOME SMELLS THAT WE LIKE AND SOME THAT WE DONT i.e.,THERE ARE GOOD SMELLS AND BAD SMELLS. WE CAN RECOGNISE MANY THINGS (GOOD OR BAD) BY THEIR SMELLS.

SOME BIRDS LIKE VULTURES AND EAGLES CAN SEE FOUR

TIMES AS FAR AS WE CAN.

DAYTIME ANIMALS CAN SEE SOME COLOURS,BUT NIGHT TIME ANIMALS CAN SEE ONLY BLACK AND WHITE.

LANGURS,BIRDS,DOLPHINS AND OTHER ANIMALS HAVE A SPECIAL LANGUAGE OF THEIR OWN.

THE TIGER IS ONE OF THE MOST ALERT ANIMALS.
