INTRODUCTION

The idea Organization Our feelings about the project

As there are 56 pupils in 7/1,2,3 class and we all wanted to participate in the project, we had to make working groups and divide the duties. 6 pairs (12 pupils) carried out the survey in our school and the secondary school Ljupcho Santov . Nine groups of 4 (36 pupils) classified the answers, analised them and evidented the results. A group of 3 pupils made the presentation and the five of us are now here to present it.

After collecting all answers, the next step was to count, sort, analyze..First, we selected the participants by age
and this table shows the results

From 132 questioned students, the first question: Do you have a part-time job? was answered with YES by 13 and with NO by 119. It shows that, at the moment, a very small number have part-time jobs.

In the questionnaire we offered a choise of 6 types of jobs appropiate for teenagers and they were:

One of the questions was: Why do you work part-time? The answers are as follows

I like communicating with people 1 For fun 1 It makes me happy 1 To earn some money 5 I want to be more self-confident 1 I want to be independent economically 1 To help my parents/relatives in their work - 3

The last question in the questionnaire was: how do you spend the money? The answers were not very different. Only three reasons were given to this question and they are:

For going on a summer holiday 2 For shopping 7 For buying schoolbag/books, school, materials - 4

At the beginning of this presentation we said that 119 teenagers answered that they dont have a part-time job at the moment. We asked them: Do you want to have a part-time job in the future? 56 of them answered YES 53 of them answered NO

Then there was a question: What kind of part-time job would you choose to work? They gave the following answers:

We were very curious about the reason why do they want to work part-time, so we put that question in the questionnaire. While we were analyzing the answers, we were surprised that only 3 reasons came out:

The last question for those who want to have a part-time job in the future was: How would you like to spend the money? These are the answers:
Shopping Travelling Personal needs School needs Going out with friends I don't know No answer

The number of 53 teenagers who dont have and dont want to have a part-time job in the future was a challenge to ask them: Why? Look at the reasons they gave:

The idea The idea for this project came out when we read a text in our book 3 weeks ago. The text was titled Teenagers & work and it was about British teenagers and part-time jobs, their incomes, British Laws about age and work etc. Back

Organization When we decided to work on a project, first we chose the subject.Then we formed pairs and groups, made a questionnarie, carried out a survey, analised the information we got, created this presentation and now we present it. back

Our feelings Working on the project gave us several benefits.We could use our knowledge, we could create a working atmosphere as we liked, we coorporated and all of these gave us a strong feeling of self-confidence. back
