a. It is a more general informal process of gathering data to determine students performance. It is the thing or product that measures a particular behavior or set of objectives. It is a more general standarized process of collecting data to determine how much and how well students are learning.

Why do we assess students learning?

The Basic Principles of Assessment


Child Centered. Ongoing: Formative and Embedded. Summative. Formal and Informal. Involves the Student, Teacher, and Parents. Varied.

Assessing Young Children


At primary levels, we are not concerned with our students learning a lot in terms of quantity of vocabulary and numbers of structures. Rather, we aim to provide them with small quantities of material that they will gradually build on and learn to use in a variety of situations.

It is important to remember that we are concentrated primarily on developing the students listening and speaking skills.
