Our History
Formerly Ruby Communications Consultancy, a sole proprietorship consulting for the Department of Tourism, Asian Association of Convention and Visitors Bureaus, Subic Bay Freeport , Ayala Land, Ayala Corporation, Philippine Export Confederation Foundation, etc. Formed into a partnership in 2008 by Ruby Villavicencio-Paurom and Kelly Austria. Current PR Consultants for Diwa Learning Systems, Lima Park Hotel, First Asia Institute of Technology and Humanities, the Public-Private Partnership of the Philippines Centre, National Economic Development Authority, Harbour Center, Suzuki Motors, SGV Entrepreneur of the Year, Philippine Retailers Association, San Benito Wellness, Hacienda San Benito, Noahs Ark, www.avalon.ph, and Milrose Corporation.

The Partners
Ruby Villavicencio Paurom provides RubyComm-K.Austria the vital leadership advantage of combining solid mass media management experience with expertise on professional events organizing, from conceptualization to implementation and evaluation. This edge worked best in her handling of flagship national tourism campaigns under two Cabinet secretaries including the Bring Home A Friend international campaign and National Culture of Tourism program, and of regional campaigns for the Asian Association of Convention and Visitors Bureaus. She took charge of the start-up communications campaign of the Subic Bay Freeport. Ruby was a grantee of various information and media seminars with the East West Center of the University of Hawaii, the European Economic Community headquarters in Brussels, the University of Chulalangkorn in Thailand. She visited Malaysia as a press delegate in an Asian media conference. Ruby was human resource manager of the Philippine Daily Inquirer in 1991 to 1993, after being features editor, associate magazine editor and senior deskperson of PDI from 1986 to 1990. She was a reporter of the Philippines Daily Express from 1980 to 1986 covering the diplomatic circle in the last two years. Ruby graduated with a bachelors degree in journalism from the University of the Philippines Institute of Mass Communication in 1980 and was top examinee of the UP School of Labor and Industry Relations in 1994 for a masters degree in human resources. She is also a member of the Women's Business Council. Kelly Austria honed her experience in marketing, organizational and corporate communications with major tourism and industry-related events and promotions during her stint at the Department of Tourism. She was Supervising Tourism Operations Officer working closely with former Tourism Secretary Mina T. Gabor. Her vast experience in organizing events, developing publicity campaigns and launching advocacy programs landed her jobs in different agencies. Kelly Austria is currently a partner of RubyComm-K.Austria, a public relations firm that handled the publicity of the International Conference on Green Industries in Asia and 2007 Philippine Travel Mart. She was also part of the team that built Protg where she major events like the 2004 Conference of the Philippine Coalition Against Tuberculosis (a USAID funded project), the Maternal Health Management Project of the City of Manila (with the Philippine Business for Social Progress and European Union), etc. She was also a former Division Manager of Agatep Associates and Euro RSCG, where she handled the publicity programs of the Japan External Trade Relations Office and Kimberly Clarks Womens Day participation. Kelly also worked with former Tourism Secretary Mina T. Gabor in the Philippine Small Medium Business Development Foundation and International Women's Forum. Kelly has an MBA degree from De La Salle University Graduate School of Business and Marketing Management degree from St. Scholasticas College. She is currently affiliated with various outdoor and mountaineering clubs and founded a foundation helping children who live in mountainous areas called TREK (Trails to Empower Kids).

Corporate Social Responsibility


The company provides support to the Philippine Science Centrum and parishes Our Lady of Peace (EDSA Shrine), St. Isidore Parish in Agdangan, Quezon and The Parish of the Resurrected Christ in Smokey Mountain, Tondo. The company is also assisting the Foundation of Our Lady of Peace Missions Inc. in its program to address primary health care needs of tribal communities around the country under the leadership of Ramon Magsaysay awardee Sr. Eva Maamo.
