It is a patient and unhurried activity. Requires systematic recording and reporting. Research never solves a problem completely.

Research Methods
1.Historical method- evidence about past is collected, evaluated, verified and synthesized.
2.Descriptive method- concerned with fact finding. It is useful in the assessment of opinions, behavior and characteristics of a population and describing the state of affairs.
3.Experimental method- study of cause and effect relationship under controlled conditions.
4.Field study method- attempts to reveal attitudes, values perceptions and behavior of individuals and groups under different situations.

Verifiable evidence- factual observations which other observers can see and check. Accuracy- describing what really exists. Precision- quantifying the data. Systematisation-attempting to find all the relevant data.
