The philosophy or set of practices that focus upon continuous improvement of processes in manufacturing, engineering, and business management. Involvement of all employees from the CEO to the assembly line workers. This concept was founded by management guru Masaaki Imai for eliminating waste and for using leaner processing methods.

Kaizen Implementation
Step 1: Set up the Kaizen project committee
The application of Kaizen is a big project, so it needs a steering committee of Kaizen in the enterprise, including leaders and representatives of all the departments in the scope of Kaizen.

Step 2: Training
Enterprises need to organize training for Kaizen for: members of the project. managers and staff of the departments concerned.

Step 3: Assessment of Kaizen status


Enterprises should assess the actual organization of the business compared with the standard requirements.

Step 4: Building a documentation system for Kaizen


The documentation must be developed to meet the requirements of standards and operating requirements of the business.

Step 5: Deploy
Implementation of Kaizen includes the following steps: to issue documents. instruct and monitor implementation in departments concerned.

Step 6: Kaizen internal assessment


The Kaizen audit is to consider the suitability of the enterprise with the requirements of the standard. Businesses can self-audit or hire external organizations for the purpose.

Step 7: Kaizen certification


Evaluation and certification by the certification organizations conducted to assess the suitability of the system according to Kaizen requirements and issue certification if enterprises are in conformity with standards.

Step 8: Maintain Kaizen system


After overcoming the remaining problems detected through evaluation and certification, enterprises need to maintain and improve operations to meet the requirements of the standard at every stage.
