Course objectives: to study the materials and devices used in electric circuits and energy conversion.

Basic electric components, resistor, capacitor, inductor and power source. Basic circuit relation, current law, voltage law, forces, transform.

Magnetic circuits and magnetic materials: field, flux, flux density, linkage, inductance
Transformers: turn ratio, voltage, current and impedance, exciting current Electromechanical energy conversion force, torque, energy and power Rotating machines AC and DC machines Stepping motors, dc motors or induction motors Power electronic devices and circuits Control of torque and speed Electric power generation and distribution
