I can guess you may not know a lot about Peru. So this presentation is here to tell you a bit more.

This may look more realistic.

If you look carefully at the flag it is made up of a lama, a cinchona tree and cornucopia with coins spilling from it .

The language spoken in Peru

The language spoken in Peru is Spanish.

You may have noticed there are a few lamas dotted around this presentation. This is because in Peru they are very common. They use them for their wool similar to us here in England.

Rain fall in Peru Varying with area, the average rainfall of Peru ranges from less than two inches at the coast to 150 inches in the tropical forests. Temperature in Peru Average yearly temperature of about 76 F. The actual yearly climate Varies according to area, but mostly it is somewhat a cooler tropical climate as there is high Altitude. Andes; thin vegetation, including temperate climate trees, and desert-like vegetation along the coast.

Peruvian pan pipe music

Native and traditional pipe music. In native Peruvian bands they would have several men playing the instruments would be pipes, a guitar and a drum. Sometimes they would sing.

The Peruvians are very keen on pipe music. It is their native music. The pipes are just pan pipes but the way they play them makes a beautiful sound. In a band they would also usually have a guitar and some drums. They look like this.

The capital of Peru is lima

Lima is the biggest city in Peru. It is located in the valleys of the Chilln, Rmac and Lurn rivers. Lima is on a coast over looking the pacific ocean. A rough calculation of the population in Peru is about 6.4 million people.

The surroundings of Peru

Peru is surrounded by Colombia whos capital is Bogot , Ecuador whos capital is Quito , Bolivia whos capital is La Paz and Brazil whos capital is Brasilia.

The ocean surrounding Peru is the Pacific Ocean. The Pacific Ocean is the biggest ocean in the world and a high percentage of it is warm.

Natural resources of Peru.

Peru is mostly a mining and fishing country, although agricultural products and textiles are becoming an important part of the country's exports. In fishing, it is mostly anchovies which are latter used to produce fishmeals. In mining, it is Gold, Silver, Zinc, Lead and Copper. In agriculture, it is asparagus, avocados and mangoes.

These are a different type called chullos.

A Peruvian note Perus currency is called a Peruvian Nuevo Sol.

Perus food

The Peruvian cuisine is known to be one of the best.

A Peruvian dish Oca y Mashua.

Oca y Mashu is a dish made from a turnip type of vegetable and a vegetable similar to a parsnip/carrot. Oca is the small turnip sort of vegetable and Mashua is a sort of parsnip/carrot.

Special and famous places and things in Peru.

This is a very famous village called Machu Picchu it is built on top of the Andes range of mountains. Machu picchu is so famous because it has recently been discovered underneath the trees of a jungle on the top of the Andes. Machu Picchu is also known as The City Of The Lost Incas.
