Swedens officially name is Kingdom of Sweden. Capital city Stockholm. 3rd largest country in the Europe and 55th largest country in the world. Swedens climate is warm summers and cold winters, so children go outside more in the summer but they cannot go outside more in the winter.

Sweden has an exclusive childcare system All children have a right to a spot in a childcare place. Childcare is important to Swedish welfare, as well as familys lives. In 1998, the government takes liability for childcare. ECEC has an important part of the Swedish family support system. The National Commission on Childcare is now the National Curriculum for Pre-school. Some parental co-operatives are alternatives in Swedish ECEC. The total costs for Swedish ECEC system in 1999 was SEK 40,000 million. ECEC is not only afforable but profitable for individuals and society.

Preschool class- Age-6

Primary school- 7-16 All are run by the Municipal Government
