Sports & Radio

1920 the Golden Age of Sports because the people turned to sports in their free time.
Babe Ruth at age 20 he became a professional baseball player. He made 60 home runs in 1927.

Baseball was not only a sport, it united people to come together to one location and enjoy the game.
Not everyone could afford to go to games so they listened to the game on the radio.

Advertising & Media

Advertising was a way of persuading the audience in buying a product.

It was a tactic that companies used to make people buy their products or goods.
Coca Cola had Babe Ruth in their advertising posters since he was a celebrity.

The advertisements looked like cartoons.

Impact of the Automobiles

Henry Ford introduced the world to the Model T in the early 21st century
Cars grew rapidly during this era because Henry Fords assembly line made them so cheap.

By the mid 1920s sales began to drop steadily because of fierce competition.

Mass Production

Mass Production manufacture of large quantities Assembly Line an arrangement in which the products are handed down the line to be completed. Ever since Henry Ford dropped the price to his Model T cars it made it easier for every American to afford them. Television

In 1925, John Logie Baird invented the first working television.

John Baird becomes the first person to transmit moving silhouette images using a mechanical system.
In 1927 Baird demonstrated the color television. In 1928 television was introduced to the United States. In 1929 the first TV studio opened.

Cities

Growth of Los Angeles in 1925 Most Americans lived in cities than in farms By 1920, the City of Los Angeles had surpassed San Francisco, swelling to 500,000 residents. 1923 the City of Los Angeles promoted a new housing development named Hollywood land. The Motion Picture Industry discovered Los Angeles and began leaving New York City for Hollywood
