Causes of stress management. Advantages/dis-advantages of stress management.

It is amelioration of stress and especially chronic stress often

for the purpose of improving everyday funtioning.


Stress provides numerous symptoms which vary according to

persons. Situation, and severity. This can include physical health decline as well as depression.

Acute stress- it is for short time and may be due to work

pressure, meeting deadline pressure, or minor accident, over exertion, increased physical activity, or something you misplaced. Symptoms of this type of stress is headache, body pain, rapid heartbeat, stomach pain etc.
Chronic stress- this is for long time may exists for weeks,

months or years. This stress is due to poverty, family problem, successive failure in life. People suffering this type of stress get used to it. They even not realize they are under chronic stress. It is very harmful for health.

To meet out demand for job.

Your relationship with colleagues.


To control staff under you. To train staff and to take work from them.

Excessive work pressure.


Working overtime at holidays. To produce new publications when you are under

research area.

Less absenteeism due to stress illness disorder.

improved job performance.


Less stressful, more efficient workplace. Improved employee attitude. Improved employee overall health.

Stress can make a person potentially weak. It is a factor of poor decision making. Under stress we may

not think logically.
