What is Organization
When two or more people get together and agree
to coordinate their activities in order to achieve
their common goals, an organization has been
born.
An effective organizational structure shall facilitate
working relationships between various entities in
the organization and may improve the working
efficiency within the organizational units.
Organization shall retain a set order and control to
enable monitoring the processes. Organization
shall support command for coping with a mix of
orders and a change of conditions while
performing work 2
Organization Structure
We have decided to set up an organization
which is based on the Staff Organization type.

About Mascot
Mascot means ‘Lucky Charm’.
The Mascot Transportation Organization
(MTO) is charged with the task of providing
safe and environmentally sound
transportation system to public.
The main aim of Mascot is to transport to a
large category of middle level income earners
and provide employment in form of drivers.

Research
The research done for the set up of
organization ‘Mascot’ is as follow:-
The Rickshaw Bank’s average monthly
repayment rate is 92%.
In 2007, 460 Rickshaw Pullers benefited
directly and 2,400 people (dependant family
members) indirectly.
Rickshaw production unit provides
employment to youth.

Objectives of Mascot
A safe and secure system, where people are not
repelled by their fear of accident or crime.
A system that provides optimal value for money.
A system that meets the needs of the economy.
To strive continuously to maintain the leadership
of the three wheeler industry by modernization,
expansion and establishment of wide and
efficient marketing network.
An integrated and coordinated transport system
and related sector of Organizations.

Vision
To set up any organization it is necessary for
organization to have clear vision.
The vision of the organization is to formulate
& implement policies for commercial
transport by working together so as to lead
the Baroda in providing a transportation
infrastructure and transportation services for
the 21st century that deliver new economic
opportunities.

Mission
Once the vision is completed it is necessary to
set the mission of the organization.
‘ To provide safe, eco-friendly, cost effective
, environmentally sound , fiscally
responsible and efficient mode of
transportation through well integrated,
multimodal transport system to provide a
safe, transportation system that delivers
economic opportunity and enhances the
quality of life in Baroda.’

In conjunction with the Organization’s Vision and
Mission Statement, MTO has adopted four major
goals and a set of objectives by which the MTO plans
to meet these goals. The Strategic Plan identified the

people and freight.
