Assertive members of the group dominated meeting conversations and influenced project decisions more than less assertive members. To address this problem, the group implemented a mediator system, where a designated member facilitates the meeting. Through the new system, less assertive members voiced constructive input in the decisionmaking process of the marketing brochure and school profile template, and the team reaffirmed its core values of open-mindedness and focus.
