INTERNET Is a network of interlinked computer networking worldwide, which is accessible to the general public. These interconnected of computers work by transmitting data through a special type of packet switching which is known as the IP or Internet Protocol These networks enable the internet to be used for various important functions which include the several means of communication like the file transfer, the online chat and even the sharing of the documents and web sites on WWW, or the World Wide Web

With the introduction of internet the global of communication become a matter of just the finger tips of the users. The internet has brought about the various different , innovative communication means like the emailing, chatting and the voice conversion system over the internet These systems have not only made the communication easy but also the daily lives interactions following the business of people living on the other sides of the world. Everything has the negative aspects to it and so does the internet , the biggest threat of the internet is in the pornography, and the security threat. The security over the internet cannot be guaranteed due to the major hacking techniques and theories.

The internet started 1960s as a way for a government researchers to share information. Computers in `60s were large and immobile and in order to make use of information stored in one computer, one had to either travel to the site of the computer or have magnetic computer tapes sent through the conversional postal system. The Soviet Union`s launch of the Sputnik satellite spurred the U. S. Defence Department to consider ways information could still be disseminated even after a nuclear attack. This eventually led to the formation of the ARPANET(Advanced Research Projects Agency Networks),the network that ultimately evolved into what we now know as the internet. In response to this, other networks were created to provide information sharing.

Dial-up internet access is a form of the internet access that uses the facilities of the Public switched telephone network (PSTN) to establish a dialled connection to an internet service provider(ISP)via telephone lines.

WWW are initials that stand for World Wide Web. The Web is one of the services available on the internet. It let`s you access millions of pages through a system of hyperlinks.

A Web browser is a software application for retrieving ,presenting and traversing information resources on the world wide web. An information resource is identified by a Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) and may be a web page ,image, video or other piece of content.

A Web Search Engine is software code that is designed to search for information on the World Wide Web. The search results are generally presented in a line of results often referred to as search engine results pages(SERP`s). Is really a general class of programs, however, the term is often used to specifically describe system like google, Yahoo, Bing, Twitter and e.t.c search that enable users to search for documents on the World Wide Web.

Using a World Wide Web browser, a bookmark is a saved link to a Web page that has been added to a list of saved links. You can think of your browser as a book full of (millions of) Web pages and a few well-placed bookmarks that you have chosen. Netscape and some other browsers use the bookmark idea.
