About Walt Disney


Born in Chicago in 1901 Enrolled in Kansas City Art Institute at

age 14 as he had a lot of interest in art. I werks-Disney Commercial Artists formed with friend in 1920, company went bankrupt in 1923 Moved to Hollywood founded Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio Developed series, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, with brother Roy but did not obtain copyright for Oswald Universal Pictures retained copyright which resulted in a loss revenue and his staff

At 16, Walt left school hoping to fight in World War 1,

but was too young to enlist. So he joined the Red Cross and went to France as an ambulance driver. His ambulance was not covered in camouflage but instead was completely covered with Disney Cartoons!

Laugh-O-Grams
In 1919 after he got back

from France, Walt and U.B. Iwerks started an animation company called Laugh-OGrams. They started a show called The Alice Comedies. Laugh-O-Grams soon went bankrupted. Walt went to California in 1923 with the script for the Alice Comedies.

Mickey Mouse wasnt the first Character Walt Created.

Oswald the Rabbit

1927 Walt created Oswald the Rabbit. Oswald was a big success but was stolen by his film distributor in 1928. And so came the creation of Mickey Mouse. Mickey was a big hit in the first cartoon with synchronized sound, Steamboat Willie. In which Walt provided the voice of Mickey. By the 1930s one million audiences were watching Mickey Mouse cartoons.

Walt created the idea of a theme park DISNEYLAND

Walt continued on his career. He produced Silly Symphonies in 1929. It appeared in colour in 1932. The Mickey Mouse club started to form. Later he made Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs which was the first

animated colour film. He made many other films such as Fantasia and Bambi. Walt was also producer of 576 different movies and cartoons, director of 101 different movies and cartoons, was an actor in nine movies, cartoons, television shows, and wrote one cartoon and one movie

Awards
Walt received over 950 honors

in his lifetime. Including 48 academy awards and 7 Emmys, Degrees from Harvard, Yale, the University of Southern California, and UCLA, the Showman of the World award and many others.

Walt Disney died of lung cancer on December 15,1966. After Walt passed away E. Cardon Walker was named chief executive of the Walt Disney Company.

Conclusion
The reason we opted for Walt Disney is because as we

all know that we if make our interest, hobby as our work there is more interest in doing the same. Though he was a great entrepreneur a very well know business man but he has been emotionally attached to all since their childhood Though today he is not between us but still he is always rememberd.
