SISTEMAS EN LA ORGANIZACIN

EXECUTIVE SUPPORT SYSTEM

Is a software system under control of one of many decision-makers that assists in their activity of decision making by providing and organised set of tools intended to impart structure to portions of the decision making situation and to improve the ultimate effectiveness of the decision outcome.

MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEMS (MIS)

Provides information that organizations need to manage themselves efficiently and effectively. Management information systems are not only computer systems. These systems encompass three primary components: technology, people (individuals, groups, or organizations), and data (information for decision making).

DECISION SUPPORT SYSTEM (DDS)

Is a computer-based information system that supports business or organizational decisionmaking activities. DSSs serve the management, operations, and planning levels of an organization and help to make decisions, which may be rapidly changing and not easily specified in advance. Decision support systems can be either fully computerized, human or a combination of both.

KNOWLEDGE WORK SYSTEMS (KWS)

Serve the information needs at the knowledge level of the organization. Knowledge work systems aid knowledge workers, whereas office automation systems primary aid data workers (although they are also used extensively by knowledge workers).

OFFICE SYSTEMS (OS)

The meaning of an office system is a group of devices, in a place where a particular type of business is transacted or a service is supplied, forming a network especially for distributing something or serving a common purpose. Multiple types of office systems exist within a business.

TRANSACTION PROCESSING SYSTEMS (TPS)

A transaction processing system collects and stores data about transactions and sometimes controls decisions made as part of a transaction. The transaction is the activity that changes stored data, examples of such an activity would be using a credit card, making a reservation or making a cash withdrawal at an ATM.
