Youth

Are the greatest wealth and strength of any nation. The future of a nation lies in the prosperity of its youth. The quality of its youth determines the kind of future, the nation will have.

The youth of any nation or society are its potential energy. It is the youth which brings laurels to the country. The credit for Indias freedom goes to the youth of that time. And now India needs them again for revolution in the politics. The corruption can be eliminated only if Indias youth take up the responsibility. A countrys security can not even be thought of without the contribution of youth. It can play a vital role in eliminating the terrorism. Youth recognize the problems and can solve them.

Students should not only be trained to live in a democracy when they grow up; they should have the chance to live in one today. - Alfie Kohn

The power of youth can be sighted only by mentioning a few names of which every single Indian is proud of, such as Sachin Tendulkar, Vishwanathan Anand, Sania Mirza, Leander Paes, P.T. Usha etc. The very mention of these names fills the heart of an average Indian with pride. These are only a few names among those who have left their imprints on the sands of time and led India forward. Who can forget the great sacrifices of Rajguru, Sukhdev, Chandra Shekhar Azad, Bhagat Singh, Bismilla Khan, Mangal Pandey etc who surrendered their everything for their country.

Youth are strong forces in social movements. They must be aware of their rights and duties. The youth must be let free to get creative and attain higher level of intellectuality. There is of course nothing they can not do.

The power of youth has been recognised globally and every year 12 August is celebrated as International Youth Day.

The best way to strengthen our youth is to provide them education. Not just any kind of education, but the right kind of education which makes them scientific, logical, open-minded, self respecting, responsible, honest and patriotic. Without these virtues being developed, the youth cannot walk in the desired way and they will remain in the darkness unguided.

Unless harnessed in the right way, this very energy of the youth can tip over the other side and become destructive and dangerous for the society, crime is on high and violence is increasing in today's time. If we look at the data, we realize that our youth is losing touch with a sense of right and wrong or good and bad. This is because, as a nation, we have failed in our duty of capturing their energy and moulding it in the right direction.

Due to increasing unemployment, we have been unable to keep our youth busy in constructive works. We fail to help them in realizing their dreams and hence they get lost and go in the wrong direction as the saying goes "An empty mind is the devil's workshop". We have failed poorly in this direction. The result is that nothing inspires our youth except shortcuts to making money, to achieve success and realizing their dreams. We have failed to give them the right kind of opportunities.

The youth, shear power of our country is moving abroad because of lack of apportunities and India is draining out of good brains. Or they have found another way by giving in to violence and terrorism as they are left with no good options.

It is high time we prevent our youth from leaving the country or giving in to violence and terrorism by providing them better options, by strengthening them, by empowering them. Let us focus on constructively using the power of the youth for the betterment of the nation. Let us frame such policies which aim at empowering our youth so that we can be assured of a better future and a brighter tomorrow.

The youth need to unite to help the country. The positive energy of youth, if collected together can bring revolutionary changes. If we stay one youth as whole, the world will be beautiful just and perfect.

Remember the story Grandma told, a single stick and a bundle of sticks??
