(19MAR03-30APR05)
✔ Eligibility:
– 30 consecutive or 60 nonconsecutive days
– Engaged in combat with hostile forces, killed, or
wounded requiring a medical evacuation from OEF /

Mandeb, Gulf of Aden, Gulf of Aqaba, Gulf of Oman,
Gulf of Suez, that portion of the Mediterranean Sea east of
28 degrees east longitude, Persian Gulf, Red Sea, Strait of

performing satisfactorily in accordance with the
prescribed rules of engagement
– Soldier must not be assigned/attached to a unit that
would qualify the soldier for the CIB/CMB
