Employability vs Career Development

Employability is needed. Without employability our learners will struggle to transition and establish themselves in the labour market. But, employability is just giving employers what they want. The problem is they dont always know, they change their minds and the world changes around them. Career development develops long-term flexibility, resilient, lifelong learners who can be critical when they need to. Career development is what employers and policy makers need. Even if they dont know it.
