Dallas County Schools hired new superintendent last July As part of his accountability plan, in April he will pass out growth plans to schools where they have not grown to target This is first step to school leader removal Has and will face tremendous from some board members. Community is in uproar but members want to stand with superintendent

The Los Angeles United School Board and superintendent are aligned to your chapters goals Over last six months, bold reform agenda to transform schools has been implemented Chapters efforts to build relationships w/ Board members has not been fruitful Community is against the policies while chapter membership has reserved support One of the Board members call you and lets you know an important press conference and board meeting are coming up; they want your chapter to show up and participate

In your city, the School Board is in the midst of transition The Mayor is a huge supporter of reforming schools and has helped raised millions of dollars The Governor has also been supportive of reform The local community is adamantly against the current proposed reforms The union are very strong and have been organizing against the policies for months. Organization Members are in full support of the policies
