A digital project flows through 5 distinct phases during its life cycle:
Planningjob start and resource evaluation Designconcept Developmentdesign integration Deploymentlaunch and closeout
Job Start
Begins with a client request, job number assignment, project identification (Web site, e-Detail, digital videos, etc), tactical/creative brief, and job start meeting.
Evaluate the project based on complexity and budget constraints and determines the specific resources that will be required. SOW documents will then be developed based on the tactical brief, team input, and resource requirements
The SOW is a written confirmation of the results the project will produce and the terms and conditions under which the work will be performed
Project Overview: How and why the project came to be, the business needs it addresses, the scope of work to be performed, and how it will be affected by other related activities Deliverables: The specific features and functions that the project will produce Specifications: Detailed specifications of the hardware and software that will be utilized in the field
Responsibilities: This defines the specific responsibilities and requirements of the Agency, the client, and partner agencies in delivering the project to completion Work Breakdown Structure: A break down of the specific tasks, responsibilities, and required hours of the team members/positions assigned to the project Schedule: An initial schedule including the projected start date, milestones, and end date Known Constraints: Restrictions that may limit what can be achieved and how fast it can be completed Contact List: Contact information for all parties involved in production, as well as approving the project during its life cycle
