Cyborg is a cybernetic

organism. It is a part human & part machine combined togeather by providing proper interface between the neurons & wires or circuits. Provides communication with the neural tissue by means of ELECROMAGNETIC WAVES

It has been a part of human nature. Human has limited memory To overcome serial transmission. Thought communication not speech

For reading EEG signal we use electrode

The implant device. The signal recording and processing

section.

An external device. A feedback section to

the subject.

Signals are read from the

array of neurons.

Signals are amplified. Transmitted to computer Transformed to device

control commands.

Signals

translated

into

action

The project involved a more complex neural interface . This device was implanted on 14 March 2002, and interfaced directly into Warwick's nervous system. The electrode array inserted contained 100 electrodes, of which 25 could be accessed at one time.

IN MEDICAL: Two different types of Cyborgs Restorative technologies restore lost functions, organs and limbs. Enhanced Cyborg follows principle of optimal performance that is maximizing output and minimizing input.

Retinal implants are another form of cyborgization to restore vision to people suffering from retinitis pigmentosa and vision loss due to aging and electrical stimulation would act as a substitute for the missing ganglion cells.

Currently in use to that people with damaged photoreceptor cells.,the device consists of small camera,a belt-worn video processor And an implanted array of 60 electrodes. Images are converted into patterns of light and dark and transmitted to the electrodes,Which send signals through optic nerve to the brain and form a crude image of dark and light patterns

The cyborg soldier often refers to soldier whose weapon and survival systems are integrated into the self, creating a humanmachine interface. Military organizations research has recently focused on the utilization of cyborg animals for inter-species relationships for the purposes of a supposed a tactical advantage.

DARPA has announced its interest in developing cyborg insects to transmit data from sensors implanted into the insect during the pupal stage. The insects motion would be controlled from a MEMS, or and would conceivably surveil an environment and detect explosives or gas.

To control an electric wheel chair, a sequential state machine was implemented, with a command signal decoded in real time from the neural signals being used to halt the cycle at the intended action. In this way, the overall control of the wheel chair was made to be as simple as possible

ADVANTAGES prolongs life enables one to lead a normal life Give a part of the body back Improves the quality of life DISADVANTAGES Training is needed for doctors They are all Expensive Pyschological problems Feeling different to everyone else The risk of rejection Pain during operations

The use of such technology will upgrade human turning them into cyborgs, presents a much more difficult problem. The idea is that in the future we may have more and more artificial body parts arms, legs, eyes and so on..
