Gravity Settlers

Impingement Separators
Baffles are used to reduce the gas velocity and enhance separation For particles 10-20 m

Cyclone Separators
Used to separate solid particles or liquid droplets from gases Employ centrifugal force Can separate particles <5m

Electrostatic Precipitator
Removes particles from a flowing gas (such as air) using the force of an induced electrostatic charge
Features high collection efficiency at wide variety of operating conditions

Wet Scrubber
Effective means of removing suspended particles from gas stream by contact with liquid shower
