Bloomberg BNA

What is Bloomberg BNA?


Offers web-based full-text reference libraries and notification services for specialty areas of law. Many individual subject areas from antitrust law to trade and commerce are included. A list of BNA library and resource centers can be found at the Law Librarys webpage: http://law.richmond.edu/library/research/BNA.html

Advanced and General Searching


You can use either the general search box or click on Advanced Search for faceted search options. Another option is searching the entire resource center or for cases from the search box in the middle of the homepage.

Searching a tab
You can also select to search within a particular tab rather than the whole resource center. Make sure to check the Search This Tab Only box.

Search My BNA
By selecting Search My BNA, located under the upper right hand corner search box, you will have the option to search multiple libraries and resource centers.

BNA Insights and Video Insights


BNA Insights provide in-depth articles and videos from leading practitioners who provide insight into different areas of law such as labor and employment law developments.

Latest Cases
Access to BNAs extensive archive of case law for descriptions of the latest law decisions on the legal area you are searching.

Resource Center Update and Related Resources


Resource Center Update gives the most recent information on cases and
decisions. As well as recent updates to regulations, laws, and agency documents.

Related Resources suggests other resources and resource centers that


might be relevant to the particular area of law you are researching.

Headlines
Headlines are derived from the latest news topics for that particular area of law. They include the latest law firm, corporate, and government moves with the new People on the Move news feed.

Indexes and Finding Aids


BNA Indexes are compiled by BNAs legal staff of subject specialists. There are general and subject-specific indexes. The Topical Indexes are the Resource Centers primary indexes. Use it for topical access to all decisions, analysis, laws, and regulatory material except for what is covered in the specialized indexes.

Practice Tools
Practice Tools provide practical aids such as checklists, forms, handbooks, and sample contracts that can be printed or downloaded into a Word document.

Laws, Regulations, and Agency Documents


Browse or search to access the laws, regulations, agency documents, and economic data in this collection. Laws and Regulations are generally broken into State and Federal. Some specialized collections have been created for a few of the content areas.

Legal Analysis
BNAs staff of subject specialist attorneys prepare in-depth editorial explanations of federal and state laws. Selected BNA Books included in the Resource Center also provide comprehensive analysis.
