Question?

Why did God created the heavens and the earth?

Isa

45:18 For thus says the Lord--Who created the heavens, God Himself, Who formed the earth and made it, Who established it and did not create it to be a worthless waste; He formed it to be inhabited -- I am the Lord, and there is no one else. (AMP)

Psa 50:10 For every beast of the forest is Mine, And the cattle on a thousand hills.
Lev 1:1 Now the Lord called to Moses, and spoke to him from the tabernacle of meeting, saying, 2 "Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: 'When any one of you brings an offering to the Lord, you shall bring your offering of the livestock--of the herd and of the flock. If God owns everything, then why would he even ask us to bring Him an offering?

Exo 25:1 ADONAI said to Moshe, 2 "Tell the people of Isra'el1 to take up a collection2 for me -accept a contribution from anyone who wholeheartedly wants to give.
1

(Bnei Yisrael) This most probably refers to the leaders of Israel according to the order mentioned in the parashat Yitro, with regards to the question of how can Moshe speak to a great multitude of people. #H8641 teruma from H7311; a present (as offered up), especially in sacrifice or as tribute: - gift, heave offering #H7311 room A primitive root; to be high actively to rise or raise

Terumah denotes of raising up, setting up, or elevating an offering out of the common things that we have. It is not already holy but is set apart to be holy for a Godly purpose.

Exo 25:8 "They are to make me a sanctuary, so that I may live among them.
1Ki_8:27 But will God indeed dwell on the earth? Behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain You. How much less this temple which I have built! 2Ch_2:6 But who is able to build Him a temple, since heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain Him? Who am I then, that I should build Him a temple, except to burn sacrifice before Him? 2Ch_6:18 "But will God indeed dwell with men on the earth? Behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain You. How much less this temple [19] which I have built!

If God is Spirit and is present everywhere, why would He ask the people to create something for Him to dwell in?

Just as the creation of the heavens and the earth is voluntary, Adonai wants us to create a space from His vast universe for Him in out hearts. Isa 64:8 we are earthen vessels. And He wants to inhabit us and dwell with us as our melech (king). We are to lift up (teruma) a part of ourselves for a Godly purpose. God did not create us to be like robots with no feelings or will of our own. He acknowledges our right to exist and retain our identity (personality), as we should to our fellow men. The Baal Shem Tov points out that in the previous Parashat, Mishpatim, that it was not enough for Israel to proclaim to HaShem We will do & we will hear, and then return to their normal lives of life as it nothing had transpired. The Torah indicates one must be willingly to give their all to HaShem, and out of the motivation of joy. The Torah does not measure how much one gives, but how willingly one gives from

1Ch 29:16 "O Lord our God, all this abundance that we have prepared to build You a house for Your holy name is from Your hand, and is all Your own. Psa 24:1 A Psalm of David. The earth is the Lord's, and all its fullness, The world and those who dwell therein.
The creation of the Tabernacle was a human act directed to our God inviting Him to find a place in our world. As in individually; within each of us and eventually as a community. God desires a real working relationship wherein He wants His love to be reciprocated. A successful relationship has to have both sides working together in order for it to work. Gen. 2:18 And the Lord God said, "It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him. While God can exist by Himself, Man is not created to be alone. He needs a helper. Gen. 2:21-24 the intimacy as of that between a husband and a wife is what God desires.

The Tabernacle and the Temple

The Tabernacle
Voluntarily made with willing hearts Built by pious devout individuals totally focused on creating an earthly abode for God. Moshe oversaw the entire construction, totally devoting himself to the perfect fulfilment of every detail. The Levites had a major hand in the construction under the leadership of Aarons son Ithamar. The project contractor was Bezalel, who was gifted with sacred insights to the heavenly process of the creation. The tabernacle was built in the desert and covered only in goatskins but the interior was more elaborate.

The Tabernacle and the Temple

The Temple
No trace of voluntarism Massive financial scheming to pay for materials and labor Participation was not really given but highly coerced Included multitudes of skilled craftsman form. These foreigners did not relate to spirituality at all & failed to dedicate every bit of their action toward that end in the building process.

At the middle of the Temples construction, God sent Solomon a very prophetic message. (1 Kings 6:11-13)

1 Ki 6:7 There was neither hammer nor axe nor any tool of iron heard in the house, while it was in building. A temple of YHWH cannot exist where there is discord, violence, and revolt. Clamor and violence often hinder the work of Elohim but never further it. Thus, the kingdom of God in the heart grows up in silence. (1 Jn. 2:3-11; 3:15-18; 4:7) 1 Ki 6:7 Just because the anointed Presence and house of Elohim graced the nation of Israel, what was YHVHs challenge (or perhaps a veiled warning) to Israel? Yeshua said something similar in Matthew 7:2123 where the word iniquity means lawlessness (i.e., Torahlessness). Torah-obedience for YHVHs people was crucial regardless of the nature of the house that YHVH chose to live in, whether a physical or spiritual one. (John 14:15.)

Exo 25:8,9a And let them make Me a (sanctuary), that I may dwell ( among) them. According to all that I show you, that is, the pattern of the ( tabernacle)
#6918 qadosh Holy #4720 miqdash Holy place #7931 shakan dwell #4908 mishkan dwelling place *And Gods dwelling presence is known as the Shekinah * Because God is Holy ( separate), and wants to dwell with them, He wants them to make a ( separated place) into a ( dwelling place).

Exo 25:8 ...that I may dwell ( among) them

#8432 tavek (by implication) the centre: - among (-st), X midst (among), X through, X with (-in). *Gen 2:24 Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be
joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. Shekinah is feminine in Hebrew, and so when a Jew enters into the Shekinah from the physical world into the spiritual it is as when a husband and wife enter into sexual union together. Israel is the bride of HaShem, and as the Bridegroom in the previous Parashat, HaShem gave his Ketubah (marriage contract) which is the Torah at Sinai to His bride (Israel). We now see the next step after the Divine wedding is to prepare a Holy place for the Bride & Bridegroom to dwell together in union and to copulate spiritually.

God desires a sanctuary within each of us an earthen temple Also implies fellow citizenship as in God wants to be a fellow citizen among us Exo 19:6, 1Pe 2:9 We shall then become a nation of royal priesthood. 2Co 6:16 And what agreement has the temple of God with idols?... Just as God dwelt in the mishqan, we are representatives of that tabernacle & God wants to dwell in us & walk with us BUT we have to be HOLY (1 Cor 3:16) Jn 1:14 the Word dwelt among us (Gk. Sheynoo, Heb. Shakan) to reside as God did in the Tabernacle of old Also refers to the human body as a temporary dwelling place

Isa 57:15 For thus says the High and Lofty One...
As far as the Earth is from the Sun, as great is the difference is the size of the Sun to the Canis Majoris, it is nothing to how separate God is.

God doesnt look at the outward appearance of man (1 Sam 16:7) but Isa 57:15; Ps 34:18, 51:17

So What is the purpose of the Mishqan? It is like a spiritual conveyor belt, a refining plant We enter in crude (Rev. 3:17-18) we need to realize that we are naked, poor, wretched, and blind; (Matt 9:12-13) we need to admit that we are sick We come out clean, purified, polished, beautiful, and valuable. If you are NOT holy, then His presence will NOT be found in you like the temple after its destruction.

Conclusions to Part 1
Why did God created the heavens and the earth?
God is building a kingdom of royal priesthood who wants Him to their God and Melech.

If God owns everything, then why would he even ask us to bring Him an offering? If God is Spirit and is present everywhere, why would He ask the people to create something for Him to dwell in? Will He indeed dwell on earth? In spite of the Fall of man, and our sinfulness, God could still dwell among us, and be close to us, and so that we could learn how to draw near to Him.
Rev. 21:3-4 As it was in the beginning, God is establishing His

kingdom here on earth where the overcomers will be His people. The message of Terumah is in the letter beit.

a picture of a house with a open door Numerical value = 2

Terumah teaches us of the humility, longsuffering patience, and faithful loving kindness of our God through our Lord Yeshua the greatest terumah of all. 1 Jn 4:19 He is always the first to initialize things for us even when were at fault... Jn 10:17-18 Yeshuas sacrifice was very much accepted by God because: He did what was asked of Him (obeying the commandment of God) It was voluntarily given...

In contrast with Solomons temple, the Mishqan was built from the inside out the furnishings, then the structure
1. Tabernacle The This shows how from the heart of God, we should a. The furnishings approach Him. of the Tabernacle i. The furnishings of the inner chamber (the Ark) Matt. Luk 11:39 Yeshua is teaching us and here ii. 23:25; The furnishings of the outer chamber (the Table the that Candelabrum) godliness starts from the inside, and manifests b. The Tabernacle itself outside. The coverings We i. cant do anything right if our heart is not right ii. The walls we need the indwelling of His Ruach HaKodesh to iii. The dividing veil enable us to follow what is in His heart His Torah! 2. The Courtyard a. The furnishings of the Courtyard (the Copper Altar) b. The Courtyard itself

On the other hand, the Mishqan is also 3D model of Gods salvation plan for mankind. In order to touch the heart of God (the Ark) we need to be able undergo each step of the way. There is no shortcut.

The Outer Court = The Outer Mans Body (Physical) Where the sacrifice takes place The Inner Court = Inner Man (Soul) The 3 pcs. of furnitures = 3 areas of soul o mind., emotion, and will Holy of Holies = Spirit of Man The Heart of God & the Mercy Seat

The TORAH is called a fence #6763 ( tsela) = rib or side

Is in the Outer Court where the sacrifice takes place where we should die in the flesh like the physical sacrifice of Yeshua (Eph 5:2; Heb 9:1-10, 18) Rom 12:1-2 as being a living sacrifice and constantly being changed Heb 13:10-15 Yeshua as the brazen altar

Ez 36:25 We need to be washed with water before we can get a new heart Symbolizes the Water Baptism Made from the brass used as mirrors = self-reflection For washing of Hand (Doing) & Feet (Going)

Jn 6:48 I am that Bread of Life God wants table fellowship with you Mat 4:17,19; 5:34 the first time there were five loaves of bread, and seven the next. 5+7 = 12 (He is the root that feeds nourishment to the 12 Tribes of Israel)

God is Light (1 Jn 1:7) Yeshua is the Light (Jn 1:4-9, 8:12; Rev 1:1213; Isa 60:19-21 = Rev 21:23-24) As the Holy Spirit (the 7 fold Spirit of God) Isa 11:2; Rev 1:4 & 4:5

Incense = Prayers of the Saints Luk 1:10, Ps 141:2; Rev 5:8; Heb 7:22-25

The Mercy Seat from the word kaporet = atonement same root word as kapara = covering Lev 8:34; Ex 25:21-22; Lev 16:14; Rev 5:6-7, 15:5) The manna Ex 16:26-28; 16:33-34; Rev 2:17
