is an idiom ????

An idiom is a phrase or sentence in which simple words are used to convey a special meaning.

Example of Idioms:
A black sheep : a- good-for-nothing person. e.g. Hilmi always causes trouble in his family. He is a black sheep in the family. A snake in the grass : a secret enemy e.g. I thought she was my friend until she betrayed me. Only than I did know that she was a snake in the grass. Apple of the eye : someone dearly loved e.g. He is the apple of his mothers eye.

From A to Z : from the beginning to the end. e.g. She studied the subject from A to Z. Once in a blue moon : very rarely. e.g. I go to the cinema once in a blue moon.
