Has facilitated NEC conduct of Rapid Assessment of Vulnerability (RAV) of LGUs at non-sentinel sites for HIV surveillance
Has facilitated focused interventions to address LGU-specific concerns (e.g. PWIDs in Cebu, MSMs in Davao & Manila) Has trained all 17 RAATs to provide support to LGUs in setting up and strengthening the local HIV & AIDS programs

Has provided assistance to HIV-positive OFWs thru its Foreign Service Officers who are trained to handle HIV-related cases Has articulated the Philippine position on HIV & AIDS issues in international fora

Since 1984, the national response has evolved into a set of policies, mechanisms, & activities for:
Providing prevention and TCS services for the most-at-risk and vulnerable groups; Aligning policies with the strategies designed to halt the epidemic and lessen stigma & discrimination; Systematically tracking & evaluating the disease;

Philippine National AIDS Council

Forging and expanding partnerships with all stakeholders, especially in communities, to mainstream the campaign at the local level; Securing steady & sustainable funding for these programs; and Raising public awareness about the disease.
