INTRODUCTION
Live Israel is a company that aims to implement a plan

of liquefied natural gas in Israel by virtue of the discoveries of the natural gas field Leviathan and tamar,
This will finally give the independence of the supply of

natural gas from Egypt.

The new supply from Tamar and Leviathan can aid in

the shift to a fuel that can produce electricity with fewer toxic pollutants

NATURAL GAS TAMAR-LEVIATHAN

What is LNG?
Liquefied natural gas, or LNG,

is natural gas in its liquid form.

When natural gas is cooled to

minus 259 degrees Fahrenheit (-161 degrees Celsius), it becomes a clear, colorless, odorless liquid.

How is LNG transported?

LNG is transported in double-hulled ships specifically designed to handle the low temperature of LNG.

Boil of gas
These carriers are insulated to limit the amount of LNG that boils off or evaporates.

This boil off gas is sometimes used to supplement fuel for the carriers.

LNG

Supplement

LNG carriers are up to 1000 feet long, and require a

minimum water depth of 40 feet when fully loaded. There are currently 136 ships which transport more than 120 million metric tons of LNG every year.

How is LNG stored?

When LNG is received at most terminals, it is

transferred to insulated storage tanks that are built to specifically hold LNG.
These tanks can be found above or below ground and

keep the liquid at a low temperature to minimize the amount of evaporation.

How is LNG used?

LNG is normally warmed to make natural gas to be

used in heating and cooking as well as electricity generation and other industrial uses. LNG can also be kept as a liquid to be used as an alternative transportation fuel.

Why use LNG?

Natural gas is the cleanest burning fossil fuel. It

produces less emissions and pollutants than either coal or oil.

Liquefied natural gas is the best technology for large-

scale movement of natural gas over long distances and allows our energy supplies to be sourced flexibly from a large number of producing countries.

Where else in the world is LNG used?

Liquefied natural gas receiving terminals are located

throughout the world, predominantly in Japan, but also in Korea, the USA, Belgium, Spain, France, Portugal, Italy and Turkey.
In Europe several additional terminals are either under

construction or planned, so as to meet growing demand for cleaner energy sources.

How Much Does LNG Cost?

Current estimates are that natural gas can be

economically produced and delivered LNG in a price range of about $2.60-$4.80 per million Btu (MMBtu) depending largely on terms established by producing countries for E&P investment and shipping distance and cost.

conclusion
The development of an LNG plant in Israel is a great

project and high costs; however, will bring to the country energy independent, not only of Egypt but of any other source. LIVE ISRAEL
