learning objectives. These learning objectives can be made more specific in the form of syllabus. There are at least 8 types of syllabus : 1. topic syllabus 2. structural/situational syllabus 3. Functional/notional syllabus 4. skills syllabus 5. skills and strategies syllabus
steps to follow : a. Analyzing target situation b. Writing syllabus c. Writing/selecting texts to illustrate items in syllabus d. Devising tests for assessing knowledge of the items in the syllabus
