Someday fossil fuels will run dry.

Hydrogen is a potentially renewable energy source whose main by-product is water, environmentally a very attractive feature. The hydrogen consuming device that produces power is called a fuel-cell and the University of Rochesters Chemical Engineering Department has an active research program in this area.
