Cyber crime

When Crime committed by using a computer and the internet to steal a persons identity or illegal imports or malicious programs.

Definition of cyber crime

Unlawful acts wherein the computer is either a tool or target or both.

The Computer as a tool in the activity - financial crimes , sales of illegal articles , online gambling.
The Computer as a target for the unlawful acts

which is the unauthorized access to computer or computer system or computer networks , theft of information contained in the electronic form , physically damaging the computer system.

Some of them are as follows:1) Unauthorized Access to Computer systems or networks This kind of offence is normally referred as hacking in the generic sense
2) Theft of Information Contained in Electronic Form Information stored in Computer hard disks , removable storage media & tampering them through them through the virtual medium.

3). Email Bombing It refers to sending large no. of mail to the victim which may be an individual or a company or even mail servers and resulting into crashing. 4). Virus Attack These are programs that attach themselves to a computer or a file and circulate themselves to other files and to other computers on a network. They usually affect the data on computer either by altering or deleting it. 5). Denial of Services Attacks The computer of the victim is flooded with more requests that it can handle which cause it to crash. Distributed Denial of Services (D Dos) attack is also a type of denial of service attack.
