Detailed requirements around Product hierarchy in nSAP:

Products will be input at PG4 level for International and PR4 for Domestic Product Hierarchy will be defined as:
PR1 (Product Roll-up 1) e.g. Strategic Services, Core Services o PR2 (Product Roll-up 2) e.g. IP Services, Managed Services, Core Data Services PR3 (Product Roll-up 3) e.g. Private IP, Enhanced 911, - PR4 (Product Roll-up 4) e.g. Carrier IP, IP Broadband - PG4 (Product Group 4)

Products will be defined at PG4 level for International and PR4 for Domestic
For Products defined at PG4, Product Hierarchy Level will be assigned at PR4 For Products defined at PR4, Product Hierarchy Level will be assigned at PR4

nSAP Product Hierarchy CO-PA

Product Hierarchy entered in the material master is contained in an 18character field which is logically divided into different levels (6 in our case) In order to be able to use this product hierarchical structure one can simply choose the sub hierarchy nodes from SAP table MARA In the prior versions of CO-PA, one had to define individual characteristics for each level of the hierarchy separately In ECC 6.0, Product Hierarchy can simply be brought over to CO-PA via Transfer from SAP Table functionality Advantages of this functionality are No need to maintain values separately for these characteristics in CO-PA No need to maintain derivation rules for these characteristics in CO-PA

nSAP Product Hierarchy CO-PA

Every time a CO-PA document is created, Product Hierarchy nodes are automatically derived based on the Product number and there is no maintenance required from the CO-PA side Product Hierarchy fields in CO-PA use the same check table as the original PRODH field where the product hierarchy is maintained in MM. This means there is no need to maintain values for Product Hierarchy fields in CO-PA

In order to use Product Hierarchy in CO-PA reporting, one should be able to drill down along the Product Hierarchy We maintain separate characteristics at each level of the hierarchy to achieve this drill-down functionality
