Problem Statement
Pakistan is passing through one of the most worst energy crises in its history. Pakistan is facing a short fall of approx.6000 MW .[14] Electricity remains off for approx. 18 hours in rural areas and approx. 12 hours for urban areas.
Problem Statement
Textile industry is taken as a case study. Pakistan,4th largest producer of cotton with 3rd largest spinning capacity in Asia & 8th largest exporter of textile products in Asia, Contributes 5% of the global spinning capacity It contributes 9.5% of the GDP. At present there are 1221 ginning units, 442 spinning, 124 large spinning & 425 small units like loams, Providing employment to 15 million or roughly 30% of the 49 million workforce of the country
[14]
Research Background
There is a gap between demand and supply. The gap can be reduced by installing additional power generating capacity. Large generation capacity projects take time. Therefore it is economically better to reduce energy loss and waste than increasing costs in generation and transmission systems and doing energy conservation measures.[5]

Abstract
This thesis would provide general Energy Conservation measures which would be finalized with the help of Energy Audit technique and can be recommended for a textile industry that has been taken as a case study
First we start with Where we Need Why ENERGY Why ENERGY Energy Auditing ? Auditing ? Auditing ?
Introduction What Is An Energy Audit (EA)? An energy audit is an inspection, survey and analysis of energy flows for energy conservation in a building, process or system to reduce the amount of energy input into the system without negatively affecting the output(s) OR in simple words it is a Systematic approach to monitor industrial energy consumption and to pin point sources of wastage is called energy audit.[8]

OVERVIEW
Energy Audit and Analysis of Industry and Domestic Level
Find out problems at various points where energy consumption can be reduced
Energy conservation by solving power system planning & operational problems using artificial intelligent techniques
Systematic Acquisition
Conducting in depth energy audit by systematic process of accounting and reconciliation between the following:
Calculated energy consumption taking into account rated efficiency and power losses in all energy utilizing equipment and power transmission system i.e. conductor, cable, panels etc.
Why EA?
The optimum utilization of energy leads us to the management of load, which is defined as the set of objectives designed to control and modify the patterns of demands of various consumers of power utility.[10] Reduces the specific energy consumption & operating costs (approximately by 20% to 30%) by systematic analysis.[13] EA has become an effective tool in defining & pursuing a comprehensive energy management program.[15][16][17]
to minimize costs for energy to minimize operational costs to minimize costs for repairs and reconstruction increase quality of environment that contributes to increased work productivity
Routine Measures The measures can be routinely adopted in day to day operation and maintenance Periodical Measures By adopting these measures in a specific period, efficiency can be nearly restored
Selection Aspects If during selection phase, the equipments are selected for optimum efficiency and diameter , considerable reduction in energy cost can be achieved
Detail Energy Audit. Data Collection at first stage. Recommendations and Suggestions on basis of real time Data and research papers. Implementations at second stage. Result would be revealed in the form of conserved energy up to a significant value.
Expected Results
The Study would be started for a period of 5 months. The real time data would be collected with the help of detail Energy Audit. Remedies would be suggested and applied to the unit that will give conserved energy up to almost 20%. The operating conditions of all the machineries during the period would be deliberately maintained same for the purpose of study.
For large organizations, electrical energy savings are even more relevant because their bills are bigger and their usage is greater.
Finding ways to deal smartly with facilities and household equipments will have a great impact in industries and domestic usage. The effect of AI methods will soon become clear in the area of energy conservation as they become commercial products.
