Colors set mood: Warm vs. cool colors Colors with symbolic meaning:

Red suggests passion, warmth, or holiday associations. Blue suggests calm, water, peace, the sky.

Visual contrast implies logical contrast. Patterns of color, font, size, and layout should be

consistent to facilitate reading and remembering.
