Ideological Foundation of
Pakist an
 Ideology of Pak signifies a complete code of life, formulation
to meet the new needs in line with the logical requirements
and cultural legacy of Islam.
 Islam is the basic source of ideology, as during pakistan
movement the slogan “Pakistan ka matlab keya, la ella ha
illallah” was used. (adjustments within the limits of Islam)
 Two nation Theory
 Parliamentary System
 Muslim culture & Urdu language
 Teachings and sayings of Allama Iqbal & Quiad-e-Azam.
 Islamic system should be implemented in Pakistan according
to Quiada-e-Azam.
 These ideological guide lines provide the basis for the
formulation of a new state

1. Islam
 It’s a part of the preamble in all three
constitutions of pak.
 Soverignity belongs to Allah.
 No law will be enacted which is
repugnant to shariah

2. Two Nation theory
 Allama Iqbal presented this concept in his address delivered at
the annual session of Muslim League in Allah Abbad in 1930.
 The inevitability of separate homeland to preserve Islamic
civilization
 Muslims are separate nation from every point of view
 To encourage Islamic way of life and acknowledge the Muslim
heroes of Islamic history like Tariq Bin Ziad, Muhammad Bin
Qasim, Salah ud Din Ayubi, although they belong to different
races and territories.
 In 1980s, separate electorate was introduced for the other
religious minorities.
 Preserve Islamic way of life
 Good relations with other Muslim countries.

3. Democratic System
 Public participation in the collective life of the
community as well as in the affairs of govt.
 Through the political system would base on
religion but it is not theocracy in the western
sense.
 Sovereignty of Allah would be the basis of the
political system.

4. Economic Justice
 Welfare and betterment of the people, explicitly
written in all the constitutions which became
the ‘principles of policy’.
 Economic system of Islam for the welfare of
society.
 Moderate principles have to be introduced,
combining liberal and socialistic models of
economy.

5. Social pattern
 Ideology of pak stands for a distinct culture and
social pattern of life.
 Islam bears deep imprints on the Muslim cultures of
the sub-continent.
 However, new usages, values and cultural norms
grew in the religion due to distinct geographical
environments.
 Its is an obligation on the government protect and
promote these cultural values that have historical
linkage with the ideology of Pakistan.
