Teaching Experience Teacher since 1996, taught in Spain, India, London, Sharjah, Dubai. Middlesex University London from 1996 1998 Dubai Men's College from 1998 - 2004 Instructor at ACK from 2005 til now

FIRE ALARM If fire alarm is sounded students are asked to follow evacuation procedures and move from the class room calmly and go to the football field where you will be checked off against the roll.

SAFETY All students must act in a safe manner at all times whilst in the college. If you see anything that is considered dangerous in the classroom or college tell your instructor or the administration staff immediately.

My Expectations: Sunglasses are not to be worn in class. One person to talk at any one time. Before entering class, mobile phones placed on silent. Mobile phones are not used in class time. Attendance. 5 minutes late = session absent. If you are late you are quiet coming in No breaks during class sessions.

In this semester you will taught in a way that allows you to learn skills suited to a real business environment. You will be learning by doing certain tasks for a real business situation that a) gives you knowledge about these subjects , b) lets you apply your knowledge, and c) Lets you demonstrate your abilities.

The scenario The Kuwait City Souk is an exciting and unique concept in Kuwait. You have been selected to make a major presentation to demonstrate how and why your business will add to the success of the souk before its owners decide whether to let you open your business in the souk.

Assumptions The owners of the Souk need to be sure the businesses will be professional and successful Running a business in the souk will give you exclusivity as only one of each type of business will be allowed to operate As a group of operators, you have been given the opportunity to decide the location you can have You have 3 months to decide and make a presentation to the owners of the souk about your proposed business

Successfully complete each assessment on the first attempt Submit/attend assessments on/by the due date
(certified illness may be taken into account with regard to this point)

ATTENDANCE Students will be expected to be in attendance at all classes and to be present from the beginning of the class 90% attendance is required if students are to be eligible for a CYA
