These can be done through : Producing consistent quality cement. Identifying, satisfying and exceeding customer needs. Minimizing material waste and wastages. Reducing dust and noise emission. Eliminating ? Mitigating causes of accidents and occupational diseases. Nurturing and instilling safety awareness to all employees.

Objective:

Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) 1994.

To provide an integrated knowledge of occupational health


and safety factors in the workplace.

To inculcate safe working environment. To take all reasonable precaution to prevent accident.

Establish Occupational Health And Safety Management Systems through programmes, objectives and targets to ensure its continual improvement. Parking & speed limit. Dust/Noise personal exposure monitoring. Working on height. Machine fencing/guarding. Display of signage (noise/dust, nib point/rotating parts, falling objects, lock-up). MSDS & CPL of hazardous chemical. Personal safety including: not to keep long hair/drinking alcohol at work are prohibited.

Prohibition of gambling, fighting, alcohol, sleeping, and spitting.

4. Employee Responsibilities Under OSHA 1994



Care for safety & health of himself and others Co-operate with employer to follow safety management system (procedures/requirement) Comply with instruction and measures of OSH practice implemented by the company Usage & Application of PPE Report injuries immediately Report hazard (unsafe act/unsafe condition) as soon as possible
