Welcome to the charts and diagrams user guide

A range of charts and diagrams have been

created for use in PricewaterhouseCoopers
presentations.

The following slides explain the colour principles

that govern their use. Please take time to read
and understand them thoroughly.

Introduction

The charts and diagrams in this user guide are not just examples,
they are live charts for use in your presentations

Please note that any of the sample slides can be

copied and pasted into your presentation, and the
data amended as required. By copying the whole
slide, as opposed to just the chart, all of the
supporting placeholders will be in place for your use.

The colour of these slides and charts may be changed

to any of the 14 different slide colour schemes using
the ‘Slide Design > Colour Scheme’ function.

Colour principles

Charts and graphs use the PwC colour principles outlined

in the ‘Visual Identity Principles’

Colour pairs are defined as a base colour and a bright

colour using white to highlight important information.
However, when creating information graphics, tints may
be used and multi-coloured charts may be necessary.

Exceptional circumstances

It may be necessary to use more than seven colour options

to separate information.

Each colour pair has 4 tints which may be used to

differentiate information. Therefore, there are
42 colours available for use in charts and diagrams.
