HYPOTHESIS:
Introduction:
Often, one of the trickiest parts of designing and writing up any research paper is how to write a hypothesis.
Hypothesis defined:
Hypotheses are testable explanations of a problem, phenomenon, or observation. A hypothesis (plural hypotheses) is a proposed explanation for a phenomenon. A hypothesis is an explanation for something that has been observed.
- a good hypothesis must be based on a good research question at the start of a trial and, indeed, drive data collection for the study.
1. Alternative - this is the hypothesis that is affirmative, positive, and approving. This gives a positive possible result of the experiment.
A chemistry hypothesis: If I mix sodium bicarbonate with an acidic substance, a reaction will occur. A biology hypothesis: If a rabbit is raised with dogs, it will exhibit dog-like behavior.
Example:
1. Determine your discipline. 2. Understand your assignment. 3. Discuss with your teacher.
2. Be careful.
3. Test your hypothesis!
