Ecological footprint
Tokyo had 8,460 ha (20,900 acres) of agricultural land as of 2003. 36% of its area covered by forest.

Administrative setup
designated as a metropolis. 23 special wards , which until 1943 constituted the city of Tokyo, now separate, self-governing municipalities, each having a mayor, a council, and the status of a city. also includes 26 more cities , five towns, and eight villages , each of which has a local government. Economy has greatly shifted towards IT and services and there are rarely any fishing activities happening Tokyo having a high population density, there is lack of space, hence land values are high

Area required for food production is 0.2 ha per person. For Tokyo, this will be a total of 5,320,000 ha
The forest area required by Tokyo for wood products is 0.109 ha per person. Tokyo's value is 2,899,400 ha Land area that would be required for carbon sequestration (=fuel production) is 1.5 ha per person This is 74,214,000 ha for Tokyo The total of 1, 2 and 3 is 108,528,000 ha - 2.14 times the land area of the whole of Japan

Perception/ Image of the city

city's beauty rests in its dignity and consistency, its symmetry and order. To others, the architectural pleasures of Paris lie far from Haussmann's grand boulevards lined with long stretches of grey, elephantine buildings. No other great city has so little modulation of colour, material, texture and scale as Haussmann's Paris.

Socio economic
France's premier economic activity centre of important manufacturing powerhouse of Europe, especially in industrial sectors such as automobiles, aeronautics, and electronics.

Administrative setup
the city of Paris is a single political unita commune governed by an elected mayor and council, like any other French commune down to the smallest village.

The suburbs consist of more than 1,200 separate communes, large and small, which together with the city of Paris form the administrative region of le-de-France. The municipal Council of Paris is elected by the people every six years.
