A source claims PA DEP has announced that it will be inspecting well sites in PA to check on radioactivity, and that in anticipation of these inspections, drilling companies are shipping large amounts of waste materials from drilling sites out of state. Rail coal cars were seen this afternoon in PA being loaded with mud from drilling sites. Trucks are also being used.

Where is this waste going? To landfills in NY? For land-spreading in NY? Does anyone know of NY landfills that accept shipments by rail? In most cases, the rail shipments will have to be off-loaded onto trucks.
