sixteen cylindrical columns of high strength reinforced concrete. - The columns vary in size from2.4in diameter at the lower areas to 1.2meters in diameter at the top ,and are placed at the outside corners. -The columns are linked with a series of concrete core walls and ring beams.

High-strength concrete was used in the central core, perimeter columns, perimeter ring beams and outrigger beams. Other features include a curtain wall of glass and stainless steel sun shades to diffuse the intense equatorial light;
CASA BATLO
Casa Batll is a renowned building located in the heart of Barcelona and is one of Antony Gaudis masterpieces. Casa Batll is a remodel of a previously built house. It was redesigned in 1904 by Gaud and has been refurbished several times after that. Casa Batll evokes the creativity and playfulness of Gauds work through the incrassate facades and creative floors.
The building was completed and refurbished in 1906. He completely changed the main apartment which became the residence for the Batll family Casa Batll offers two rooms in the attic for your functions: the first is the Dragons Belly, the pinnacle of the building which immerses us in a space which Gaud designed using his masterful solution, the catenary arch. the second is the Fire Room, a contemporary area bearing the hallmark of the lighting specialist Ingo Maurer, and it contains many ingenious solutions in lighting and visual displays. n 1993, the current owners of Casa Batll bought the home and continued refurbishments throughout the whole building. Two years later, in 1995, Casa Batll began to hire out its facilities for different events
