Family Background
Ramalinga Raju was born on September 16, 1954
have two sons, TejaRaju and Rama Raju, who runs the Hyderabadbased Maytas Properties and Maytas Infra and a daughter, Deepti, who is married.
Educational Background
Ramalinga Raju did his B. Com from Andhra Loyola College at
Vijayawada and subsequently did his MBA from Ohio University, USA. Ramalinga Raju had a stint at Harvard too. He attended the Owner / President course at Harvard.
Business Background
After returning to India in 1977, Ramalinga Raju moved away from the
traditional agriculture business and set up a spinning and weaving mill named Sri Satyam.
Thereafter he shifted to the real estate business and started a
Chairman until January 7, 2009 when he resigned from the Satyam board after admitting to cheating six million shareholders.
After being held in Hyderabads Chanchalguda jail on charges
including cheating, embezzlement and insider trading, Raju was granted bail on 25.3.2011.
On the condition that he should report to the local police station once
a day and that he shouldnt attempt to tamper with the current evidence.
Personality
He was very hardworking in nature and diligent in
whatever he did.
Very secretive so much so, not even disclosing to his
small town in Madhya Pradesh and spent his early life in Chittorgarh, Kota, and Jaipur in Rajasthan.
CP received a chemical engineering degree from the National Institute
of Technology, Rourkela.
Career
CP Gurnani (popularly known as CP) is the Managing Director and
Chief Executive Officer of Tech Mahindra. In a career spanning over 31 years, he held several leading positions with HCL Hewlett Packard Limited, Perot Systems (India) Limited and HCL Corporation Ltd. Prior to joining Tech Mahindra, CP was the Chief Operating Officer and a co-founder of Perot Systems India Limited, initially set up as HCL Perot Systems. At HCL Perot Systems, CP orchestrated the HCL Corporation and Perot Systems joint venture from its inception to making it one of India's top IT services companies.
