Enterprise application

Enterprise applications are type of system software made for companies to use it. They are one of the highly complex systems and the most expensive software. Only big companies can afford to enterprise applications. Also, it is a powerful system because it closes the gap between the departments in the company. The enterprise applications are spread in functional areas across the firm and serve all managerial levels (senior manager middle manager operational manager).

1. Enterprise system. 2. Supply Chain Management System. 3. Customer Relationship Management System. 4. Knowledge Management System.

Enterprise system is known as Enterprise Planning Resource Systems (ERP). They are large scale application software packages

It used to help organization in their business process, information flows, data analytic and reporting function in large and complex organization.

1- Enterprise systems take a lot of time to be complete and fully functional. 2- The cost of EPR is very expensive and there could be extra indirect cost such as new IT infrastructure, upgrading the wan links, etc. 3- Enterprise systems are very difficult to customize to the companys preferences. 4- Enterprise systems consume a great amount of time to install the hardware and software to train people to use

Advantage of EPR
1- Enterprise systems help in cutting the costs and improve the distribution of information throughout the organization. 2- Enterprise systems speed the communication in the organization in order to make it easy for business to direct their operation. 3- Managers get benefit from enterprise system since it provides them with wide information that helps in analyzing the product profitability or cost. 4- Enterprise systems increase the company profits 5- Enterprise systems enable accuracy in order fulfillments

Supply Chain Management System

1- SCM system is an enterprise application that connects companies system with the system of their suppliers. 2- It gives businesses the chance to have suppliers intimacy which is one of business objectives . 3- the applications of SCM help enhance products time to market ,decrease costs , and enable all supply chains parties to better control existing resources and make plans for long run needs .

The purpose of Supply Chain Management system: SCMs primary goal is to obtain the correct and exact product in the right amount or quantity to the correct place with minimum cost. The general advantages of SCM : It develops the companys supply chain network It reduces delays It decreases costs It improves the collaboration. The general disadvantage of SCM : Applying and overseeing the chain of the supply requires greatly investment of resources, time and money.

Customer Relationship Management System:

It is an enterprise application that helps companies and businesses to manage their communication and relations with their existing and future customers. CRM organizes all business procedures and methods that interact with clients in order to raise revenues and sales and enhance the satisfaction of customers.

1- It might not incorporate well with other systems of accounting or email .If this happens, it will cost companies more than expected as it is exploiting more assets than originally supposed. Therefore, companies have to assess all its departments which will be included in its procedure before they buy the CRM system. 2- Whether CRM system is applied in the organization for the first time or it is an upgrading for an outdated version, it will necessitate employees to spend time in order to know how to use the system .Moreover, people are anxious about what they are not familiar with. This might decreases productivity and efficiently until they get familiar with new or upgraded system.

Knowledge Management System:

Knowledge management system is one of the systems that newly discovered. It helps the company in improving their decision-making. Also, it helps in discover new products and service. It also helps in develop old products. One of the benefits of having a knowledge management system in the company is that this system can help in the production processes and in delivering products. As a result, knowledge managements system will give the company value and advantage over their competitor. Knowledge management systems can share, capture, improve and effectively use the organization knowledge.
