PROJECT CHARTER OF THE UPCOMING MANAGEMENT FEST OF WELINGKAR INSTITUTE

Overview of Project
We School is Planning to Organize Management Fest

Purpose of the Project Charter


To provide the understanding of the project, the reason it is being conducted and its justification To establish early on in the Project the general Scope To establish Project manger and his or her authority level

The Project Charter will be reviewed by Volunteer Team The Final approval will be the Dean of We School

Background of the Project


Fest Name: CorpRova 2013 Fest Dates: 25th 27th December, 2013 Fest Details
CorpRova13 is the annual management Fest of Welingkar Institute of Management
Development and Research, Bengaluru It is an initiative to provide a common platform for students who are in a continuous

hunt for opportunities to showcase their talents in business acumen. Welingkar


Institute opens its doors to invite future leaders to showcase their ability to think out of the box. The theme of the fest is Breakthrough Innovation This fest will be an amalgamation of corporate and cultural events thus depicting a knowledge as well as fun quotient

Objective

Attract various talents from B-schools across Bengaluru Attract corporate in and around electronic city Promote the host institute and its PDGM programs offered And Organizing Management Fest - By End of Dec13 successfully (Success measured by Overall feedback from students and Corporate and also queries generated for different courses)

Scope
Scope Includes

Organizing event for Estimated 400 Students Participants should be from B-schools across Bengaluru Inviting Judges from Corporates in and around Electronic City Conducting PR Activities

Scope Excludes

Transportation facilities Any Lodging arrangements for students

Constraints

Costs (Including the entire event organization, prizes to winners, highend event costs and other miscellaneous expenses needs to be accommodated within the given budget ) should not Exceed

Rs. 2.5 lakhs


Human Resource: Limit of 20 Students for organizing the Event Time: 4.5 months for entire event planning and structuring

College Location - Electronic City far for many colleges and some
companies

Space constraint to accommodate all events within the college

premises

Assumptions

The event has to be organized within the college premises


40 colleges will definitely participate and registrations will be at-least 400

10% of our budget will be covered through sponsorships A good amount of participation from host college
